Working Toward the Highest Quality Health Care

As Minister of Health and Wellness, I am extremely pleased with Government’s commitment to ensuring Islanders have access to the highest-quality healthcare and with the significant improvements we have made in many areas across the health care system.

Progress has been achieved through the successful development of several initiatives, including the introduction of new services and programs, advancements in training opportunities for health care professionals, and upgrades and expansions to hospitals and facilities.

We continue to make strides in our overall vision of One Island Future – One Island Health System as part of our ongoing effort to improve the quality, safety and sustainability of health care on Price Edward Island.

One Island Health System is about working together as a single, integrated system of care to make the best use of system resources and to support the improved health of Islanders.

I am excited about the opportunities that exist as we move forward to establish a more modern and effective health care system – one that will meet the needs of Islanders now and into the future.
